ZITA WEBER PH.D.

Dr. Zita Weber is an author and academic with an extensive human service practice and research background. Prior to entering academia, Zita worked in innovative practice settings, such as therapeutic communities in the mental health and drug and alcohol arenas. She was on the inaugural child protection team at a major children’s hospital and has worked to empower parents in parent effectiveness training groups. Her counseling and therapy practice included individuals, couples and groups around issues related to depression, loss and grief, relationships and sexuality. Zita has a strong commitment to justice and to helping people realize their potential. In her writing, Zita offers readers the opportunity to recognize the possibilities in their lives and to help them achieve a stronger sense of themselves. She has had five books published in the last ten years and is engaged in writing the next book.
